I get that it's not Game of Thrones or Stranger Things, but in a world where Esperanto is all but ignored by film/television studios and publishers, you might think that this would at least make some minor waves within Esperantujo.

It would be a minor contribution to the Esperanto culture; subtitles aren't something that will make people learn Esperanto, this is not even dubbing.

For the same reason IMHO they gave the possibility to translate that show about Jesus into Esperanto.

I'd love Esperanto subtitles the all the non-English movies that I watch. I think it would be a great way to improve my understanding of the language. As long as the subs were accurate, it would be a truly useful learning aid.

Personally, I have felt like the world of Esperanto is really lacking in terms of the arts. There is almost nothing in terms of movies or TV shows that were filmed in Esperanto or even have Esperanto subtitles, and that which exists has been exclusively low-quality nonsense. (No offense to the creators, of course.) Most of the music I've heard is also not that great, though there is more of it. The literature situation is certainly better than any of the above, but still, who are the hot Eo authors who are writing today that you can name? There's not really a Stephen King or George RR Martin of Esperantujo, who most Esperantists are familiar with and who many read.

I would love it if someone with actual filmmaking ability would make a decently-funded movie or web series that was shot in Esperanto. However, from what I've seen it doesn't seem like people would even care enough to crowd-fund it successfully. It's a bit exasperating to me, because I think this kind of thing is something that the language desperately needs.

Trevor Steele, István Ertl, are widely known authors among Esperanto speakers.

I think that the Esperanto music is something bigger than we think.
You certainly know Johnny M or Martin kaj la talpoj, but do you know for instance Emerson, Ĵak Le Puil or Gijom’ Armide?
I guess that as in every places, there are widely known and less known musicians.

... which gives the opportunity to listen to a lot of songs in Esperanto. In fact, the platform Vinilkodmo is certainly the first to subtains Esperanto musicians.

I think that Esperanto needs more original books than translations.
In fact, we should translate books and poems from Esperanto, in order to make it known.
For example,
La ŝtona urbo, La infana raso, Flugi kun kakautoj have already been translated from Esperanto.
