Uvi:Looking at the track listing, the only 2 artists I know are Eterne Rima and Pafklik. I'm not too crazy about Pafklik; they're not very credible in terms of sound, lyrics or overall style and they make rap mocked at to those familiar with urban culture. But I guess I have to give them credit for pioneering the genre in Esperanto.
I don't like rap music at all, so this is really not something I pay attention to, but Dolchamar made the earliest Esperanto rap song that I'm personally aware of; that's "ĉu vi pretas?" from 2000. Dolchamar has made CD's in quite a variety of musical styles. The last one was straight-off rock music, the previous one was more electronica/rap/pop/whatever, I never heard the whole disk (didn't like it) so I am not exactly sure.

Having said all this, I would be shocked if Dolchamar was the first group that did rap in Esperanto. 2000 seems awfully late to me.

In any case, "Ĉu vi pretas" is reasonably well-known in the Esperanto community. And although I don't like the song (or rap, as I mentioned), I have to admit that whenever someone asks me "Ĉu vi pretas?" ("are you ready?"), I have this strong urge to answer "Ĉu Dolchamar venas?" ("Is Dolchamar coming?"), because the refrain of the song repeats over and over, "Ĉu vi pretas por la veno de Dolchamar?"

Such is the amazing power of music: it's pervasive and penetrates the subconscious mind okulumo.gif

Eterne Rima has released an EP to keep us waiting while he finalizes the album, which will be released in 2010 on Vinilkosmo.

You can download 4 songs (complete with a PDF file with lyrics) for free here: http://www.mediafire.com/?zkz2dzyzzwz

Well, but that is the sad esperanto hiphopo situation. We're extremly late.

Eterne Rima has a Youtube channel now.

Dendemann (former "Eins Zwo"): 'Tschuldigung (Sorry) 00:00 - 00:06 min :

"The missing entertainment value of the reality enforce myself to fire out some falsehoods".

In my opinion, that's what most hiphopo is about. Hiphopo could be "word juggling" named, too.

I found this list on the Esperanto Wikipedia:

It's a decent list!
