If I were you I'd use "Ĝeret" or you could truly Esperantise it with an "o" ending & use "Ĝereto".

"Gxerit" is no good because it would be pronounced "Jer-eet".

I face the same problem with my name, Eric, but since I speak french I'm a tad used to the last syllable being pronounced ee (Esperanto/French "i").

Well, my language uses (mostly) phonetic spelling, so it's easier for me.

Alžběta would probably be "Aljxbjeta". I don't think I need to add a "o". Ana in the course "mi estas komencanto" is "Ana". No "o".

You're correct. "traditional" esperanto names for females can end in either -o or -a

Male names traditionally end only in -o. Of course, many people choose not to esperantize their names at all.

Note, even though your name ends in -a, not in -o, it should still take the accusative -n ending when it is used as an object.

Li batis Anan = He hit Anna
Lin batis Ana = Anna hit him

If I were you I'd make two ways
First, use Ĝereto, pay attention to the pronounciation
Ĝe 'reto ,all the esperanto words accent the penultimate syllable and nouns end with a vowel which make it sounds graceful.
Second, write and pronouce in the way your mother tongue,i.e. Jerett

Mi konsentas kun placido (I agree with placido)rideto.gif.

Mia nomo estas Đivo, kaj esperante Gxivo estas tute same prononcata.
Mi name is Đivo, and in esperanto they pronounce it same as Gxivo.
