I'm looking for a translation of "urgent care clinic (urĝa atento kliniko? Kliniko por urĝa atento?)" and "hospital emergency room (hospitala urĝejo?)". For those unfamiliar with the horrors and expense of American medical care, an urgent care clinic is generally a private practice that costs a half of what a trip to a hospital emergency room does but has only 1/3 the capabilities, so one goes to them in that order whenever there is a choice.

Thanks in advance!

I think you are halfway there with the term kliniko which implies something more specialised than a hospitalo and may well be privately operated.

Kliniko por urĝaj atentoj and hospitala urĝejo sound OK to me, but I am not familiar with the American system.

Would sukurejo or sukura kliniko cover 'urgent care clinic', or even urĝ-flegejo?

I feel like this topic has been covered in this forum before, and I wonder if someone might be able to dig up the thread.

I have a vague memory that the root sukur/ may have come up in the past as part of the root.

Here's an old thread about the word "paramedic" where sukur/ was brought up.

Thanks again, Sudanglo! I will make use of "hospitala urĝejo" for hospital emergency room and "klinko por urĝaj atentoj", this latter because such urgent care clinics may be all that's needed even for fairly serious things. In the U.S. they are considerably more than just first-aid stations as "sukura" seems to suggest. Do I err on that?

This is the NPIV entry for sukur:

sukur/i (tr) Doni la unuan helpon k flegon al vunditoj, dum milito aŭ post sinistroj aŭ aliaj gravaj akcidentoj.
sukurado. Agado de iu, kiu sukuras.
sukurejo. Loko, kie estas trovebla ĉio necesa por sukuri (☞ urĝejo).
sukurismo. Organizita helpado k flegado de vunditoj, k la tiurilata fakscio: la Ruĝa Kruco estas universale konata organizo de sukurismo.
sukuristo. Persono, ricevinta ateston pri kompetenteco por sukurado

Note the citation with regard to the Red Cross. I think they do a little more than give first aid.
