It's been mentioned here that much of the postings on the Esperanto-language forums are not of good quality.

On the flip side, can anyone tell us what (regular) members post in good Esperanto, worthy of imitating?

I think if my grammar or Esperanto is poor a fluent speaker should just come out and correct my grammar in a private message and
I'll go back and fix it

Ah! But you could say the same of many of the postings in the English language forum, that the language used is not always of the highest standard.

As a rule of thumb, I think you can take it that the level of command of the language as self-described in a person's profile is a reasonable guide.

However, for models to be imitated the printed literature of Esperanto is probably a better source than the forums. And later publications are on the whole more imitinda than earlier ones - exceptions to this though.

On the net, I think that the quality of the articles in libera folio is fidinda

When the new lernu is launched, I believe that a user's language level (from their profile) will be marked on their forum postings. In that case you'll be able to see whether the person is marked as having a high level, and if so, their grammar is likely to be good. If someone is marked as beginner level, then maybe you shouldn't assume their grammar is very good.

At the moment, you obviously couldn't really use that system, but it's an issue that the site's leadership is aware of.

OK, thanks. I'll be watching for that.

But I'm looking at style and usage as well as grammar. Probably the same people most of the time, but not always, I would think.
