Does anyone here know of a good (and hopefully free) site for learning other languages? Lernu is, obviously, the best one I've found for learning Esperanto (although I find I learn more/better now from conversation and reading than I do in the lessons), but I'm interested in learning several other languages as well, and obviously Lernu won't work for that.

I'm currently learning Spanish on Duolingo, so that's taken care of. But I also want to learn Farsi, and I can't seem to find any good websites for that. I'm also interested in Mandarin, but I'm puting that off for the time being since I don't know any speakers of Mandarin and I do know speakers of both Spanish and Farsi (some of my closest friends are native speakers of those languages).

Unfortunately, I don't know of anywhere that teaches Farsi, but if you're interested in other languages, you might want to check out: http://fsi-language-courses.org/Content.php

It contains legally free language learning resources for many languages. Unfortunately Farsi doesn't seem to be one of them.

It has a link to one on the Off Site Material page.
Thanks!

In my opinion a good place for questions and answers is the Language Learning board on Reddit.

Another place language learners congregate is how to learn any language dot com They have had a few threads about Farsi over the years including this one.

I have been following the "Learn a Language in 90 Days" tasks - now onto Esperanto - the best guide I have found is speakfromday1.com it isn't a language course but explains in great detail orders to learn and where to find resources without an official course. Alternatively livemocha.com is where I started my journeys.

Now i using Busuu.com for learning Portoguese: its preety good and you can talk with native languages but really doesn't give you the grammar bases for the language and if you want to have access to some extra sections (ex. audio file, PDF, Podcast, ect.) you have to pay, not so much but you have to pay.

I tried Livemocha before to use Busuu, but for some strange reason i can't use mic for recording my voice.
