Hi!!
I'm very interested why you started (or want to start) learning Esperanto? Is Esperanto for you just a language, which helps you to communicate with other people or is it "a way of life" for you? Im very interested in the Cultur of esperanto, what makes it so special? What changed when you started learning esperanto and you use it often? Why can't we use English as a sort of world language?
I know, that are a lot of questions, but I'm new here and I want to know a lot about the Cultur of Esperanto and I would be glad, if some of you would answer to one ore two of my questions, cause I think that's a very interesting topic!
Thanks!
Yours, Anna

For me it's very simple: I have 3 friends who all wanted to learn our own secret language in order to speak together without anybody else's understanding. That's actually my only reason for learning it.
This year I'm going to Bosnia to the IJK 2006 (International Youth Congress) to meet others at my age who speak it as well. This of course is extremely interesting in many ways. I'm really looking forward to going there...
About the Esperanto vs. English question: Esperanto is WAY easier to learn as well as some countries might have their reasons for not wanting to learn English (political reasons) etc.
Hope this answered some of your question...
