Hi Guys - I am an experienced film-maker who is currently rationalising that experience through a post-grad with Raindance, here in the UK. I am also an Esperanto speaker. I am currently in the process of building a small acting troupe (non-exclusive) in SE England to explore a heavily underexposed area of SCREEN drama performance. I already have a small number of actors involved from across the south east, but we are looking for more for our initial endeavours.

We are looking for actors of any gender, nationality, ethnicity, age, experience etc. who are welcome to apply for initial involvement.

The very nature of this endeavour benefits from a broad spectrum of involvement, reaching a world-wide distributed audience.

It does not matter at what level of Esperanto you are - you may well still be learning and developing, you may be experienced. Many already showing interest or are even already involved are actors who have no Esperanto knowledge at all (yet!) but who will be performing Esperanto phonetically until their skills develop. This isn't a half-hearted enterprise however, and I am very serious about us doing this right for once.

This might be a great opportunity to develop your spoken Esperanto skills!

The initial couple of short films will be unpaid with profit (if any) fed back into the film-making to get us off the ground. This IS intended to change if the hoped for exposure and development is successful. Initially, this is a HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL project being run as a community group before hopefully we turn this into a truly commercial enterprise.

Further information, just message me, but please SERIOUS INVOLVEMENT INTEREST only at this stage - we are currently not generally releasing detailed plans to the potential audience.

Just idea. Make 30 seconds audio-only anouncement and upload it through http://muzaiko.info/partoprenu/alŝutu

Thanks - definitively an idea.

We are currently making a short video promo as well, but it's still in progress.

Rats! I *LOVE* acting, and would especially love to do it in Esperanto, but, alas, England is just too far away from Colorado malgajo.gif.

I was just about to open a new tab on my browser so that I could send you this thread. I guess you saw it before me.

If I end up in the UK, I would love to do something like this.

Well, I'm hoping that in the next month of so we can open up the group page (at least in a read-only manner) so that people can see what we are doing. In many ways, this will be cutting new ground - especially for those actors who will be working phonetically - as we certainly want to get it all right this time. This is one of the reasons why the early stages will be non-paid, community style production until we work out methodology. During these early days, we'd always be looking at constructive critiques to ensure that the quality of Esperanto performance is up to scratch.

We now have the makings of a good little company with about half a dozen actors on board, and hopefully a number of acting students who have shown some interest. Luckily behind the scenes crew and admin is not a problem because of my contacts.
