Hi

I have some back issues of Esperanto magazines that I am looking to get rid of (Kontakto, Esperanto, and TEJO Tutmonde). Rather than dumping them in the recycle bin, I thought I'd find out if anyone wanted them. Perhaps a beginner would find them useful for practice; all issues are from the last few years.

I am willing to send these to anyone who wants them (although to keep postage costs down, I would prefer not to split them up among more than 2 or 3 people)

If you want to send me a small souvenir representative of your home region in return, that would be greatly appreciated, but you don't have to if you don't want to, and I am certainly not asking for any money. I just want to give the magazines to someone who might enjoy them!

I also have a book I am willing to send out, "Princino de Marso", a translation of "Princess of Mars" by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

If anyone has Esperanto things that you're looking to give to a good home (free of charge), I encourage you to use this thread. This forum is not intended for commercial purposes, so nothing should be put up for sale. [If you want to sell something, use the Esperanto forum "About everything else"]. Maybe you have a book that you've read and don't plan to read again? Maybe you have a CD that you listened to and didn't like? Maybe you have a book that is cluttering up your shelf because you will probably never read it? Why not give it to a new home?

Please contact me privately if you are interested in my book or magazines!

Hello, I could really use these, if the offer is still up?

I'd like these too, if they are still available.

Hi erinja

this topic remembers me the Book Crossing project, here follows a informative page about it: http://bookcrossing.com/about

i'll love to receive esperanto magazines or books, i can send you something typical from Brazil, perhaps coffee, if you want ridulo.gif

thanks for this initiative, books don't deserve to be prisoners of our bookshelves!

I sent away all of my magazines shortly after my original posting.

However, in the meantime, I have collected a few more magazines that I have already read, though not nearly so many as I had collected before. Also, I have a box of Esperanto stuff that I still need to go through, that may have something of interest in it. Please contact me privately, whoever is still interested.

I encourage anyone else who is a long-time Esperantist and who would be willing to get rid of some old Esperanto stuff they don't want and haven't touched in years, to post to this thread and offer your stuff to a beginner who would treasure it!

Hi

I found another stash of magazines in some boxes in my garage. Those of you who expressed an interested in receiving something (and have not received anything yet), please send me a private message with your address, and I will send you some magazines. I will try to get them out next weekend, since I'm not sure if I'll have time for it this week.

Erin

An update - I am going to mail out a stack of magazines tomorrow (August 2). Everyone who has sent me a private message will be receiving something; my magazine stock is now exhausted, although you can certainly expect to hear from me again, when I have accumulated more.

Thank you, "Ate"* erinja for the magazines~! Those are quite helpful. rideto.gif At least, I can read something now in my house. Again, dankegon~! rideto.gif

*"Ate" /A-te/ = "big sister" in Tagalog, although its use is not limited to family only. okulumo.gif
