Any distro GNU/Linux with wireless out-of-the-box?

Hello.

I have a lot of problems with distros of GNU/Linux (specially with (K)Ubuntu), due to my Belkin USB wi-fi.

I know here there are a lot of users who have GNU/Linux in their computers, and maybe understand something about this.

An user in an Ubuntu forum said to me that exist some distros with wireless out-of-the-box (or maybe they exist), and on them I do not have to install drivers, Ndiswrapper, etc., simply connect my problematic USB and surf the Web.

I am tired of searching solutions, programs, and so on.

Please, if you know any distro with wireless out-of-the-box, say to me.

Excuse me if I bother you with this.

Try PCLinuxOS, used to work for me out of the box. I think it may for you.

With me, a USB wireless network adapter worked out of the box with Ubuntu 9.04. The built-in wireless card on my laptop worked after a simple installation of the restricted driver using an Ethernet cable (Ubuntu as well as LinuxMint Felicia).

There's are some significant differences between the main Gnome-Ubuntu and the KDE-Ubuntu. Gnome-Ubuntu is the distro Canonical Ltd. supports. Only the teamleader of KDE-Ubuntu is paid by Canonical. Guess, what disto is better maintained. (I'm sorry to you KUbuntu guys.) "Desktop" Ubuntu contains an Live CD feature. ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso or similar.

If you're connected via an fast broadband to the Internet you could download the latest Live-CD *.iso images of some major Linux distros, burn it and give it a trial.

Gnome(!)-Ubuntu (ubuntu.com) reclaims that they have good hardware support. So, would be good to download the latest Live-CD image from ubuntu.com (No KDE-Ubuntu) But keep in mind. If you prefer long term support only LTS versions are proper for you. All other non-LTS only will only get security updates for 18 months.

May be OpenSuSE? They are sponsored by Novell.

When I have an USB Hard Disk (in one or two weeks), I'll install it and I'll test it. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I can't use an Ethernet cable, due to the distance between my PC and my router malgajo.gif

I just installed Ubuntu 9.04, and it seems like my integrated wireless card is working simply by activating the restricted driver, no Ethernet connection needed.

Mmm as has pretty much already been hinted I'd look at the classy sponsored distros like Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, etc. I think Ubuntu can be installed simultaneously with XP, and then there is also Fedora which might but probably wont work out of the box depending on your hardware.
