@ki4jgt: Aww, that would be too bad. I'd still like to make a band anyway, but an EO band would be nice. It's OK if you don't want to, though. : )
@Diablo: Sure, that'd be great! I finally got my microphone to stop emitting a whine, so I think I can get you something later (later being this weekend, probably, as I am very, very busy).

I can do mixing if you need it, and I have a drum simulator and some experience working out drum patterns if you don't find a drummer (and want drums). I could also play guitar & sing but it sounds like you might have that covered.
Should we try something? I could send a file of a guitar track to someone to play or sing along to and record, and then if you want you could send the recording back to me and I'll try to combine the two tracks, just as a first step.

You would just have to agree on which programs & what sample rate to use.
Different people could then also make & compare mixes of the finished product.

@1Guy1: That's a fascinating suggestion! Do tell me more on how this works. Feel free to inbox me as well!
Peace!
1Guy1:As a suggestion: if you folks wanted to work with fellow musicians on the net you could all make the music in one of the the Linux 'live' environments (operating system running from a DVD or pendrive) such as AVLinux or dynebolic, so that everyone is using exactly the same thing. Then you could all swap files across the net, so that people could add their part(s) & pass it on.
You would just have to agree on which programs & what sample rate to use.
Different people could then also make & compare mixes of the finished product.

qwertz:Ubuntu Studio and KXStudio seems to be special sound recording Linux distro's.You cannot run Ubuntu studio in 'live' mode it has to be a full install & I think KXstudio is moving in this direction. There are a lot of music distros these days, compared to what there were, but AVlinux does seem to be 'best of breed' at the moment.
