I think It's a very good tool to learn both Esperanto and Quran. You agree?

You can buy it from most major Esperanto book services. The title of the easiest Quran to find is "La Nobla Korano".

You can also read it online here:
La Sankta Kurano en Esperanto

Yes, I agree. It seems to be an good idea to read foreign language version of books someones already read with someones native language. Knowing the context could help very much to understand and learn foreign language.

Rather you than me.

I've got a copy of the 'la Nobla Korano' and it is practically unreadable. The sentences are grammatically correct, but totally cryptic.

Here's an example chosen at random from chapter 35 Al-Fatir.

La blindulo ne estas egala al la vidanto, nek la mallumego al la lumo, nek la freŝa ombro al la varmego de la suno, nek estas egalaj la vivantoj kaj la mortintoj.

Well, yes, not everything is the same. And your point is what? That I can't sit in first class with a second-class ticket?

Every translation is a interpretation. If someones wants to build its own interpretation of the original, someones has to learn original language of the original text. I.e. German to unterstand Goethe lyrics. Even than someones will not get the fine tunes. In my opinion even Esperanto can not change that. Even if Esperanto seems to enforce very excact translations, which doesn't seem to be easy to read by definition.

sincerely, I hope there will be an exact translation of Quran,I think somehow we will need it.

Meh, it was written a while back, they probably needed things spelt out to them back before institutionalised education.

It's perspective too. I would have thought "Do unto your neighbour what you yourself would want done unto you" or whatever ("Golden Rule" for short) would be so logical it wouldn't need spelling out in any of the major religious teachings it features in, apparently I'm wrong rido.gif (I was perusing youtube today when I found a whole section dedicated to hating Russians (in addition to ones about hating Israelis, Arabs, and anyone else these illusive nationless troglodytes don't like), which I doubt was just misunderstood banter, saying how they should all *nasty stuff* etc. Amazing how people just don't get the concept of manners at such a basic, necessary level malgajo.gif)

There is no reason to suppose that the Esperanto is not an exact translation of the arabic in this or other verses which use similar simple language.

You can translate something that is vague in import, but clear in form, without too much difficulty.

If I say 'the wise man plucks his chickens', this may correspond perfectly to an original in another language. But what the hell this means beyond culinary advice would be anybody's guess.
