Should I use "projektado" or something else?

Prognozo is defined as forecast (or prognosis in the medical field).
Projekcio has a number of highly specific definitions ranging from geometry to film projection, but I didn't notice one for the meaning of to take current figures and project them into the future.
Ekstrapoli is also listed (with a cross reference that seems to lead nowhere). I assume the meaning is extrapolate. This might be closest to the idea of budgetary projections.
