Okay, so here's my dilemma. You see, I was working my way through "la puzlo Esperanto" when I came across something that I don't understand. Specifically, I am referring to lesson 19.

We know that a direct object is the noun on which the subject does its action. We also know that (at least in English) the action can be carried over other parts of speech (e.g. 'I think about him' being 'subject verb other object'). Can someone explain to me, then, why a regular noun, rather than a direct object, is used with "pri" (or maybe it's pensi)? For example, we would say "Mi pensas pri ili",rather than "Mi pensas pri ilin", but I don't see the logic in that. Thank you all in advance!

(P.S.) Alternatively, if anyone could paste me a link to one of these tutors, that would be awesome, too.

Most prepositions negate the need for the "-n" as they are assumed to carry objects and don't need to highlight the objective case.

"Pri" is one of those. So is "al."

Al mi, sxajnas ke ...
Literal: To me it seems that ...
More likely: It seem to me that ...

Please follow this link for a discussion on prepositions. (It's in the introductory grammar section.)

Thanks! I'm fairly new, so please forgive me for seeming like a noob from the get-go.

As a token of my gratitude, another cat picture.
