Quite right Kirilo, on your point of logic.

Though we do have a tense in English which is called the Present Perfect Continuous.

For example: I have been thinking about buying a new car (mi intas pripensanta*), or I have been seeing the Doctor about it (my complaint).

Kirilo81:
Miland:In my view a present participle can cover a whole action.
For logical reasons it simply cannot.
I said 'whole', not 'completed'. That is, during the action till its end. Thus a person who views a rocket taking off views the whole event over time.
