Is the site infected?
Rarely seems to happen on the English section, but is quite frequently observed when visiting the Esperanto Forums.
Who else has experienced this?
It's a relatively recent phenomenon. Certainly didn't happen several months ago.
Eventually the lock-up can be exited when a pop-up reports that Explorer is running a script that has taken over the PC and asks me if I want to stop running the script.

sudanglo:Version: 8.0.6001.18702, Erinja. You might want to consider switching to Chrome. It is more cleanly separated from the guts of your operating system than Internet Explorer, so it is more secure.
It is available free from

Personally, I wouldn't use IE at all if I didn't absolutely have to for several sites I need to access at work. I suppose they've made it better than it was, but I think it still has issues that the other browsers have more or less avoided.
Get Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or just about any other browser, and you'll immediately improve your experience on the internet over what you get with IE.
