The Australian Esperanto Association as of beginning of next month will be opening to the Australian Public – an Esperanto film Competition, with a cash prize of 500$ for the winner. Further details can be found at the *temporary* link below (please be warned the page is still under construction, and is subject to change, and will change Domains in the coming week)

What we require of the Esperanto community here, is international judges. If you’re interested in being a judge, you must be fluent in Esperanto, and preferably (not necessarily) be well respected in the Esperanto community (perhaps your part of an association or you've published books ktp...) If you’re interested than read the rules and conditions of the competition and send me, per lernu.net a mini Bio about yourself.

The competition has officially opened, please go to http://www.thekonkurso.com to see the website. A facebook group will also open soon. WE STILL NEED INTERNATIONAL JUDGES, all you will need to do is watch films, judge and judge them all on a set date. If you want to be a judge - contact me at r_delamore@hotmail.com\

That's an exelent idea. Will you accept donations to make the prize fund a bit more tempting for the participants?
How does one qualify for a judge?

I will have to talk to the AEA Estraro on the donation thing, but that does sound good ridego.gif A judge should be a fluent Esperantist, and hopefully someone who has does something in the community. As we would love to stick their bio up on the website. Perhaps, written a book, worked on a committee, or just been to like every event that they could. However if your seriously interested than we will take you ridego.gif

Tell them, I'll send my 100 EUR donation the same day you start accepting PayPal transfers okulumo.gif

Nah, I don't want to litter your list of famous esperantists rido.gif
To be more serious - I could show the videos during our local e-o club meetings and have some Eurovision-style voting.. Just an idea.

The lernu! team is willing to provide someone as a judge, if you guys are still short of experienced speakers. If you're interested, e-mail us at teamo@lernu.net.

Vilius, if you'd like to make a donation, may I suggest a donation to the Esperantic Studies Foundation, which funds this website. Without ESF support, lernu.net absolutely would not exist in any form. You can make a Paypal donation directly on this site, by clicking in the "Support lernu!" box in the upper right hand corner of the page.

I've already donated to ESF this year, and also to lernu not too long ago. Don't get greedy, guys rido.gif

Evildela, are going to advertise the event through Esperanto language channels, like Libera folio, Radio verda, or at least esperantlingvaj threads on this forum?
