Estis tri viroj atendantaj eniri la cxielon. Cxe la
pordego estis maljunulo, kun longega barbo kaj grandega libro. La maljunulo rigardis la unuan viron kaj legis en la libro. Poste li diris, "Vi estis bona viro. Vi cxiam estis fidela vian edzinon, exc kiam sxi mortis jam delonge...Tial me donacos al vi tiun cxi novan Mercedes-auxton..kaj tuj el la cxielo aperis la axuto!
(here I would like to say, " and the man drove off on the street to heaven) (kaj la viro veturis je la strato al cxielo?)
Poste la maljunulo rigardis la duan viron, kaj legis en la libro. Poste li diris, "Vi estis mezbona viro. Dum la plimulto da via tempo vi restis cxe via karulino...SED unufoje vi trompis sxin kun alia virino!...Do tial mi donacos al vi tiun cxi meznovan Ford-auxton..kaj tuj aperis el la cxielo la auxto!
Laste lauxvice la maljunulo rigardis la trian viron kaj legis en la libro. Poste li diris, "Vi estis fia viro. Vi estis malfidela al via virino kaj vi havis amoraferojn kun multaj virinoj...Do tial mi donacos al vi tiun cxi malnovan Volksvagenon...kaj tuj aperis fuxsa auxtacxo el la cxielo.
Kelkaj sekundoj poste la viro de la Volksvagenon vidis la viron de la Mercedez sidantan sur la trotuara, tre deprima. La viro de la Volksvagenon proksimigxis al li, kaj demandis, "Kial vi estas tiel deprima..vi havas belan Mercedez?"

Maljunulo, kun longega barbo kaj grandega libro rigardis la unuan viron, konsultis la libron, kaj diris "Vi estis bona viro, ĉiam fidela al via edzino, kaj ankoraŭ longe post ŝia morto. Tial mi donacos ĉi tiun novan Mercedes-aŭton." - kiu estis subite ekaperinta el nenie.
Kontenta, la viro forŝoforis ĝin en la Ĉielon.
Al la dua viro, post denova konsulto de la libro, la maljunulo diris, "Vi estis mezbona viro. Dum la plimulto de via tempo vi restis ĉe via karulino...SED unufoje vi trompis ŝin kun alia virino! Tial vi recevos ĉi tiun mez-novan Ford-aŭton." - kiu laŭvice materialiĝis.
Al la tria viro la maljunulo li diris, "Vi estis fia viro. Vi estis malfidela al via virino kaj vi havis amoraferojn kun multaj virinoj...Do tial mi donacos al vi tiun ĉi malnovan Volksvagenon" ...kaj tuj ekaperis fŭsa aŭtaĉo.
Kelkajn momentojn poste, la viro kiu ricevis la Volksvagenon ekvidis la viron kun la Mercedez sidanta sur la trotuaro, kun tre malgaja mieno.
La viro kun la Volksvagen iris al li kaj demandis, "Kial vi estas tiel deprimita? Vi havas belan Mercedez."
La homo respondis "Mi ĵus vidis mian delonge mortintan edzinon - sur skutilo!!!"

I pictured some mortuary type platform for a corpse.
Then I realised that this didn't make sense and assumed you meant skateboard.
In Esperanto we have 'sketilo' for skate (as in ice-skating), and we have skutilo for scooter (as in the child's two wheeled thing with handlebars).
For scooter (the motorbike) there is skotero.
I thought skutilo made the joke work well fitting in with the descending hierarchy of transports.
As to what skate-board is in Esperanto, I am not sure. Perhaps skut-tabulo.
Roller skates are I believe rul-sketiloj.

sudanglo:4pir, when I first read the joke it didn't click with me what you intended 'rultabulo' to refer to.Thanks you for your help. I have a small paperback dictionary by Dr. Andrew McLinen (second edition) Universaia Esperanto Asocio Rotterdam 2001 and it listed skateboard as rultabulo. I would change it to scooter which was a good idea except my animated version is complete and it shows a woman rolling down the road on a skateboard as her depressed husband sits on the other side of the road. Since the skateboard is shown I am hoping that even if the word rultabulo is not a common word, the pictures will connect the word. I am including subtitles and I will narrate. Thanks again for all your time and help. I learn a lot from this site and with the lack of a club nearby these uploaded jokes to youtube give me feedback on my pronuciation. I will let you know when it is complete and on the tube.

In some University lecture theatres they have rultabuloj which the lecturer can write on and which can lowered or raised to display earlier or later workings.
From what I have seen of skateboarding the impetus action is just like skutado.
However if you already have the animation for skateboarding and it is a question of subtitling the animation, then rultabulo should be fine.
Other languages seem to be divided between those that use some form cognate with skate and a form cognate with roll, many using the English term skateboard.
I think it is often the case that in Esperanto a certain term has some currency, though it may not be the best word that Esperanto can offer.
For example, you will see superbazaro used for an individual supermarket, though strictly the term should apply to a shopping mall.

sudanglo:I am not saying, Tom, that rultabulo won't work as skateboard. In fact Googling reveals that it has been used in that sense. It is just that in theory it could be any board designed to move on rollers, and I didn't immediately get the picture - which is important in a joke - and skutilo seemed more comic.OK, you win, I just finished re-animating the girl on a childs scooter. I like it better and as you say it will be more understandable. When I finish the naration and music it should be good. Oh yeh, one more question if you have time. It is in regard to the word antaux. Does the dipthong count as one vowel or two. In other words do I stress the word at the "a" at the beginning or the "a" at the end? Thanks again Tom.
