I read in a couple of posts in other places that there is a world-wide Esperanto campaign for the 125th anniversary that starts March 23th. But I couldn't find more specific information about it.

Does someone know or heard about this?

I would appreciate any information. Dankon!

This is the one being Run by the Australian Association:

Esperanto will be 125 years of age on 26th July, 2012

This year the world is celebrating the 125 year Jubilee of Esperanto, the easy, international language which belongs to everyone equally. It is the language which was designed to save everyone from learning numerous languages if they wish to travel or communicate worldwide.

In Australia the Australian Esperanto Association is asking Arts, Education, and Language Dpts of Universities to send invitations to all their students and staff. These invitations promise the participants that if they study Esperanto, the international language for at least 15 minutes every day from 23rd March to 26th July at www.lernu.net for free, they will be speaking Esperanto by the 26th July. A great reason to celebrate!

After joining E125 they will also receive encouraging messages and interesting things about Esperanto from AEA and could attend a grand Jubilee celebration in Canberra on 28th July when they will have the chance of using their new language and celebrating its existence.

There is also a new sport being developed over the same period which will use Esperanto words for all its basic terminology. Maybe an exhibition of this new sport could be arranged that afternoon in Canberra. The members of staff at all the different Embassies in Canberra could be very interested in such a sport and maybe want to learn it in time for such an exhibition.

Anyone who would like to enter this film competition or receive an invitation to participate in the ESPERANTO125 campaign, please contact prezidanto@esperanto.org.au for further information."
