Would someone be interested in creating a new innovative project, not for Esperantists (as many already exist), but from Esperantists to not Esperantists ?

The idea is to create a local social network, in all countries at the same time, before big companies take this oportunity.

It would be nice if the next Facebook or Google-like killer strongly support esperanto, wouldn't it ? Then to find new members and spread our language would be an easy game.

Proximity social networks are becoming more and more in the air, and some types of them hasn't been created yet. We also have our internationality as an advantage, and our efficient language as well. But we have to hurry.

Actually, it's more than an idea, we already have a precise plan to success this scary, but well defined in our mind, project, but we need some help from you (only a few quick and easy tasks as : becoming a member or take and post a picture).

Right now, we just want to know who could be interested ?

Maybe Diaspora* is the future.

(in fact, it's the only social network, where i might consider becoming a member)

You could try to encourage the developers to make Esperanto the default language (or at least a well supported one).

I use Diaspora however there is also Friendica. Esperanto is already supported in Diaspora but the translations tend to lag and may even be entirely neglected now (I don't know).

Sure Diaspora is a great project in the spirit. But, in fact, our goal is not proposing a new social network that you can use instead of your favorite one. We talk about a new innovative starting project that esperantists should consider to "sponsor" not for what it is but for what it could bring back to the community in case of success.

Moreover, I'm not sure that Diaspora is the future. It just try to mimic Facebook and actually, even Google can't manage to achieve the same. On the Internet, too late is too late. We have to look forward, to the future to find another great new opportunity that could easily raise Esperanto faster that it never happened before.

However and in case of interest, you can read more about the project here :

There is no such thing as too late, before Google there was another well known search engine, before facebook there was another well known social networking page.

However, having said that, I wish you the best in any attempt to make Eo more widely known and accepted.

You are right. It's not too late... if there is something really new inside.

We agree to use our internet skills to make Esperanto known on a larger scale because it's what we want but we will need a little push in the beginning. We don't want to collect money but pictures from each countries. Then we think we can do something with that. Don't ask how. Our strategy is very complicated to explain.
