This is an incredibly well-presented lecture series on International Languages. Why languages become used by people across the world and what the future of a possible "Universal Language" may be.

For those interested in Esperanto assuming this role, I think you will be very interested to hear what the professor has to say about it. The series has 4 parts.

Oh, you've also found these okulumo.gif
Watched 1&2 yesterday. Can't wait to see 3&4.

Should I assume that lectures 3 & 4 have not been published yet?

The first two indicated that it will be an excellent series.

Unfortunately, it looks like 3 and 4 are nowhere to be found online. I've contacted Dalarna University to inquire about getting them. I'll let you know what they say.

From the lecturer:

"Thank you for your interest in the series. Parts 3 & 4 have not yet been recorded; I'm hoping to record part 3 before the end of June.

Regards,

Konstantin Andreev"

Do you have his e-mail address? It's still April; if he gets a number of inquiries from people who tell him we heard about his series through our interest in Esperanto, he might then find more good things to say about it when he makes part 3. Kion vi pensas pri ĉi tiu?

He is clearly a supporter of Esperanto and doesn't need any encouragement in that regard. I didn't watch his videos but I've heard his name before in Esperantujo. He's an Esperanto speaker, he's been doing Esperanto stuff at least since 2009.

I loved his 2 videos, I want to watch the others 2! It is so interesting what he says. And he speaks perfectly English, everything he says can be understood perfectly.

I contacted Delarna University directly and they forwarded my email to him.

I found these contact details on the University website:

It might be a good idea to write to him, congratulating him on the first two lectures, and politely suggesting that when he gets to covering Esperanto, he might like to run his comments on the language past the Esperantists first, as there are many misconceptions about Esperanto out there in the big bad wide world.
