Assiduous readers of the forums will have gleaned already that the British Esperanto Congress for Spring 2013 will be held in my home town of Ramsgate (SE England).

Hunting round the net for some pictures of Ramsgate that might encourage enrolments from the UK (and Belgium and France) I came across a collection of photos here.

There are some on the main page and lots more in the Gallery. (Don't forget to click for enlargement when viewing).

My question is which of these do you find most attractive, from the point of view of persuading people to sign up for the congress?

There's also a montage video under Things to Do

I liked the one with the boats, though I know nothing about sailing. Anyway, I hope to come to the BK next year!

Interesting Miland. My favourite on the main page is the one of the Arcade.

Incidentally, this film was shot in Thanet (Isle of Thanet is the name of the peninsula on which Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs sit), and there are some beautiful images in the film of Ramsgate and the coast round the island.

The room behind the first floor veranda which can be seen to the right in the background of the main page boat picture is where the disco scenes were shot.

What should I understand for "my home town": the small town where I've been born or the city which I live in?

"My home town" usually means "the place where I was born and/or spent the greatest part of my early years." However, I sometimes hear the expression used to mean simply "the place where I now live." It depends on what needs to be expressed at the time, I guess.
