quieta:May I share my experience? It is similar to that of xdzt. Let me say that I like the Lernu website although I don't make use of all the courses. For example, I just cannot get interested in the Gerda Malaperis course. It comes across as artificial and I just cannot relate to it. I have tried several times. And while I like Lernu and enjoy the forums, I rarely, and I mean rarely, post anything. I don't know if there is a time limit on logging onto the site. About a year ago, I registered on Lernu. Then last week I tried to log on and was refused admission. So I registered again. Is there a six month or a year time limit on this site?

I never liked Gerda myself, I found the story boring and anti-climactic. Some people love it but I do generally warn beginners that they might not love it, and that they shouldn't force themselves to continue with it if it doesn't interest them.

Regarding lernu accounts - accounts aren't deleted for inactivity. If you couldn't log on, it probably means that you misremembered your username or password. If you weren't able to use the tool to retrieve your password, you could have contacted teamo@lernu.net to get access to your account. Incidentally if you want your old account back, you still could contact teamo@lernu.net to see about getting logged back into it.
