Request for help with 'Kurso de Esperanto' exercises

Saluton.

Hi folks,

I am a fresh beginner trying to learn Esperanto, I also read Bennys blog on FI3M and am trying to learn fairly quickly due to a gap in my work.
I am a part-time college lecturer and work has just finished until August, (this may sound great but it means I dont get paid until september!), so while I have some time I want to learn as much as possible ridulo.gif

I am using memrise to build vocab but have also found 'Kurso de esperanto' and I really like the grammar exercises as I think I am slowly starting to figure it out (my understanding of English grammar is very poor.....)

Anyway, I want to go through the Kurso de esperanto in a short time so would be grateful if I may post my translation exercises here for correction/comments ?

I think the web would get a faster response than the single email address listed in the 'Kurso'

If this is not appropriate please let me know and I'll apologize in advance.

I used this linked site when i started learning. He uses 'Kurso de Esperanto' first, then he follows with 'Gerda Malaperas'. After that, he suggested Lernu. He is reasonably quick with answers.

Thanks for the reply, I had found that site but wasnt sure how quick the response would be.

Its good to hear that he was fairly quick to respond ridulo.gif

I have sent of an email and will continue working through the course.
How long did it take you to complete 'Kurso de Esperanto'?

I am lurking in 'tujmesagilo' but am still at the stage of using the dictionary to translate so its very slow to keep up with a conversation !!
Hopefully it will improve over time ....

The first few courses took a few hours each, and later ones took a bit longer. i think it took about a month all up, with breaks in between. After 12 months, i went to a few Esperanto events in Europe, which helped a lot. I do recommend the short courses such as SES that is run by Lernu. I don't recommend the Universala Kongreso for beginners.
Most of my current learning is by reading books by Claude Piron. With a kindle and the dictionary that was discussed in a previous post, this has become much easier.

NASK in the USA is also a short course, so if anyone wants to do a course that's slightly more than a week long, in the USA, NASK is an excellent choice.

It's definitely a bit more study-focused than SES, which puts more emphasis on non-study activities, but NASK is still a lot of fun and has excursions and stuff (no concerts, though)
