Rakonto de Ovoj is now available from the Japana Esperanto-Instituto book service, here. They are based in Tokyo and I believe they sell books to customers in other countries, however I have never tried them myself.

I still have a few copies for sale at my own website.

At another website I was asked to document my experience learning another language. I chose Esperanto. The article ended up being largely about the book described in this thread, the translation of which probably did the most for my Esperanto ability. Read it here, en la angla.
