Hid'all!! lango.gif

Not intending to offend anyone here, but Iv'e just invented a new interesting speak to make Esperanto sound much much cooler and more natural..

Here's what you 'outto do:

1) Remove all '-a' and '-o's endings from nouns and adjectives, as long as they're in their original default format as defined by the Fundamento. (That would mean, an adjective that originaly was a verb in it's original form wold be left untouched, for ex.)

2) In the case of a word ending in an '-an' or '-on', you may shorten it to an apostrophe &'n', as long as it isn't heard to pronounce, as shows:

-- bela hundo ĉasas la katon >> bel hund ĉas l'kat'n ---

3) Any verb in plain present simple tense doesn't get an inflection.

4) 'la' turns into 'l''.

The *new* Esperanto antheme:

En l'mond'n venis nov sent
Tra l'mond ir fort vok
Per flugiloj de facil vent
Nun de lok, flugu ĝi al lok

Ne al glav sang'n soifant
Ĝi l'hom'n tir famili'n
Al l'mond eterne militant
Ĝi promes sankt'n harmoni'n

Sub l'sankt sign de l'esper
Kolektiĝ pacaj batalantoj
Kaj rapide kresk la afer
Per labor de l'esperantoj

Forte star muroj de miljaroj
Inter l'popoloj dividitaj
Sed dissaltos l'obstinaj baroj
Per l'sankt am disbatitaj

Sur neŭtral lingv fundament
Komprenante unu la ali'n
La popoloj faros en konsent
Unu grand'n rond'n famili'n

Nia diligent kolegar
En labor pac ne laciĝos
Ĝis la bel sonĝ del homar'
Por etern ben' efektiviĝos

eitanulo you're unlikely to cause offense, but knocking endings off words and calling it "interesting speak" isn't something that's going to pique the enthusiasm of many people round here, for obvious reasons.

I think you can safely consider Vespero's "Nope" typical of the reaction most will have to the newly butchered L'nov Esper.

Thanks for the info my friend, but my full intend was't to stop there- but rather to drive the language out of it's overly gramatical state it's in..
Look you, I see why linguistics just LOVE all this "adjective" and "noun" stuff, but ordinary people who aren't into linguistics find this odd and boring as hell.. I think that kind of change would make it appear more "realistic"..

what is "realistic" in your opinion? imo esperanto with its endings looks like italian or spanish.

otherwise, see tommjames's post.

Forigite

wow... it feels so 'French'... although it indeed sounds much 'cool'er but I still prefer the originality of Esperanto XD

How is "l'mond'n" smooth or natural? It contains unpronounceable consonant clusters.

The English forum is intended mainly for helping people learn Esperanto as it is. It isn't really intended for discussions of reform proposals.

If you would like to talk about your ideas for changing Esperanto, it is a topic that belongs in the Esperanto forums (you could put it in the forum threads "Viewpoints" or "About other languages", since your reformed Esperanto would be a new language).

It isn't a topic that is likely to be very well received, but at any rate, it doesn't belong in this particular forum.

...and if you aren't yet able to write a post in Esperanto, I suggest you learn Esperanto well enough to write a forum post, before making proposals to change it. How do you know what to 'improve', without a profound understanding of how things work as they currently are?
