Rotunda-like space?

How might I express "rotunda-like" in the following sentence: "When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I found a rotunda-like space." None of my attempts showed up in the Tekstaro.

How's this (jen komencanto!): "Descendinte la ŝtuparo mi trovis rotondosimilan spacon"?

Thanks again!

You can use -EC with a noun for X-like, so "rotondeca" is how I'd say it.

"Descendinte la ŝtuparo mi trovis rotondecan spacon." How elegant that is. Is the rest okay?

Thank you!

'ŝtuparon' - you forgot the accusative. Other than that, sounds great!
