Cisksje:Has Google ever done a 'moodle' or whatever they are, about Esperanto? If not, how could we go about urging them to do something for the centenary of Zamenhof's death in 2017? Any ideas for a well co-ordinated plan of action? They did that back in 2009. Here you can see it. It wasn't global, nonetheless there were of plenty of countries where it showed up.

Cisksje:Thanks for that. Pity it wasn't global, especially given the global aim of the project. I don't know how they operate; would it be worth lobbying for something better in 2017?I have only a vague idea of how they did it. I read somewhere that others were planning to send an application/petition to Google en masse to ask it to show an Esperanto Doodle on the 150th birth anniversary of Dr Zamenhof. I don't remember exactly how it worked. I merely wrote(?) a letter or filled a form and that was it.
I remember it because I took a day-off from work to -participate- (later edit) join another group on Twitter to make 'Esperanto' a 'Trending Topic' for the day. Alas! We didn't succeed.

Yeah, I sent them my "feedback" for Zamenhof Day too.

(If it's possible to change, could you do so?)

Any ideas for a well co-ordinated plan of action?A while back Google did a Doodle for Esperanto Day. It was a leaning Esperanto flag. I'm unsure what year it was. Marking the 100th anniversary of Zamenhof's death though is a different event, so I see no reason why they wouldn't consider it. I found this info via Google:
How can Google users/the public submit ideas for doodles?I have no idea how the design process of the Doodle happens, whether they design it, or what.
The doodle team is always excited to hear ideas from users - they can email proposals@google.com with ideas for the next Google doodle. The team receives hundreds of requests every day so we unfortunately can't respond to everyone. But rest assured that we're reading them

Though Google normally do the doodles for the human being but I did see something which is not be it was an event like the independent days of countries.
