Where would I sell book written in Esperanto?

I mean electronic (a.k.a. Kindle) books. This website lists languages officially supported by Amazon Kindle, they are: English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, Catalan, Galician, Basque. Esperanto is clearly not among them (as well as hundreds of other languages).

I've asked Mondial to offer their electronic books on Amazon, but they couldn't due to this issue. I've also written to Amazon regarding Lithuanian and Esperanto books, they say it's a "technical issue". Right ridulo.gif

I'm aware that Marvirinstrato is there. Someone should ask the publisher how did they manage to bypass the limitation. Maybe adding "(Esperanto Edition)" to the title is all it takes?

I contacted google's help forums earlier. One of the replies I got said they didn't support Esperanto as a language. malgajo.gif

For a paper edition, self-publish via lulu.com or another print-on-demand service.

Contact a local printer and do a short print run of say 30-100, then sell them at Esperanto meetings, over the internet, and on consignment in your local bookshops. The UEA might even take some. Have excellent cover design and put some little illustrations inside.

Left-of-centre idea - have someone recite them and do it as an audio book.

What kind of poetry are we talking about? Bawdy, Mother Goose, arty, hajko?

best I can describe is emo LOL. They're not negative (not all of them) just raw emotions. I don't really know what style to place them in.

Yep. Lulu and CreateSpace are the two most popular self-publishing companies for physical books, because for all the others, you have to pay a lot. And for e-books, there's the Kindle marketplace as well as Smashwords.

If you have any books at home which are in Esperanto, you could check the publisher and then contact them, there are obviously publishers which take on Esperanto literature (can´t think right now of any Esperanto authors)

I have Marvirinstrato and the hatted letters come out just fine. I also have a couple of Russian editions of books where the cyrillic comes out fine as well. Neither Esperanto nor Russian are listed at the website above.

What about Barnes and Noble? Do they do Esperanto? I know it's not the BIG HUGE EBOOK store like Amazon, BUT it is another major book store online that does self-pub ebooks. You might even be able to get it on the Nook. (I know it's not Kindle but... ePubs can be read by any OTHER device.)

I don't know about B&N handling new books in non-English languages. I have a Nook Tablet (I used to work there and have a little residual brand loyalty) and from the free books section downloaded Privat's "Vivo de Zamenhof" for the Nook, so they have at least a few non-English items. (I also downloaded a copy of Elias Molee's pan-Germanic auxiliary language "Tutonish" of 1902, which is written in a mixture, although the OCR scanning was a little iffy.) So it might be worth finding out.
