I wouldn't blame anyone now for not attending.
However, Tom, would you like to make an exception to your aversion for clubs and Congresses and come down to Ramsgate for la Brita Kongreso 2013. I's only 1hr 15min on the Javelin class trains from St.Pancras and I doing my best to break the mould with this Congress. (A day pass is only £10).
I'd like to see as many Lernu members from the UK, France, Belgium and Holland as possible at the Congress even if only for one-day attendance.

The only thing is that the level of Esperanto is quite high and as I am a beginner it's a bit overwhelming so I'll wait for a few more months before going back.
Anthony, those questions sound like something from a kafkaesque nightmare. Where did they come from?I'm reading "Lasu min paroli plu" from Claude Piron (the 2nd book I read in Esperanto!) and I try to understand as much as I can in terms of grammar hence my list of questions.

AnthonyLondon:The London Esperanto Club still exists. It's now based in the Irish Center in Camden. They meet most Fridays:Most Fridays! Wow, I'd love to have something like that to enjoy. I'll be sure to visit the next time I'm in London.

I don't think you should let the level of Esperanto intimidate you. You can learn a lot by listening.
