Mi komencis kiel presita bazita Grafika Desengado, sed post la retejo igis populara kaj mi komencis krei retejo enhavo, mi malkovris la mondon de programing kaj trovis ĝin esti mia vera voko. Mi glutis la ŝancon inter dungado reiri al lernejon kaj trovi vojon en la laborejo kiel programisto.
Mi elpensas interesaj ideoj por praktiki mian kodigo tutan tempon kaj dividi ilin en mia blogo. Mi ankaŭ faras libervola kodigon kaj teknika administrado por iu inda organizoj.

Welcome to my student homepage. I started out as a print based Graphic Designer, but after the web became mainstream and I started creating web content, I discovered the world of programing and found it to be my true calling. I've taken the opportunity between employment to go back to school and find a path into the workplace as a programmer.

This site is server space provided by Oulu's University of Applied Sciences to students for the duration of their course. My site implements Twitter's BootStrap web framework.

'mondo' doesn't seem to be used that way, according to Revo, but it might be. I thought 'abundant field' would be good! 'Glutis' might be okay but I changed it. 'Kodigo' I'm not sure about but I reckon 'kodado' is better. I don't know how to translate 'web framework'. Does 'between employment' mean at nights (i.e. between yesterday and today), or between your last job and your next job? The name of the university is a mouthful. Good luck!

Temas laboro, mi unue laboris kiel presa grafika desengado. Tamen, post la TTT iĝis populara, mi komencis krei interretan enhavon. Tiam mi malkovris la abundan kampon de programado. Mi decidis ke progamado estos mia vera voko. Mi prenis la ŝancon reiri al lernejo, kie mi trovos vojon al programista ofico.

Ĉiam mi elpensas interesajn ideojn por praktiki mian kodadon, kaj mi ofte dividi tiujn en mia blogo. Mi ankaŭ faras libervolan kodadon kaj teknikan administradon por iu inda organizo.

"temas laboro" doesn't really make sense. If you wanted to say "about work" as an introductory statement, I'd say "Teme pri laboro"

"laboris kiel presa desegnado" doesn't make sense. "desegnado" is the process of design, not a designer; that should be "laboris je presa grafika desegnado" or "laboris kiel presa grafika desegnisto"

It should be "post kiam la reto iĝis populara" (I personally hate the term TTT)

"por la daŭro de ties kurso", sia here would refer to the university, not to the students, so it doesn't work.

Usually you give something's identity and then its name - it's a bit like how we say "This is my friend John" and not "This is John my friend" in English.

I have heard "temas + noun" quite a bit in spoken Esperanto, when someone wants to change the topic or clarify the topic which follows, and it always made good sense to me, as it can be frustrating when someone changes topic during a conversation but we don't get to hear what the new topic is till halfway through the sentence! Anyway, I think I had been mishearing it. It seems from what you've said and what I read on Revo, 'temi' must be used with 'pri', and what I was hearing was temas + the noun with the n-finaĵo subbing for the preposition 'pri'. That final n can be hard to hear, or easy to ignore for we English native speakers! Thus, "Temas laboron."

It does seem odd to me that temi must go with pri, since they mean more or less the same thing; this may be the reason I did not hear that final 'n'.

Are the Esperanto speakers you talk to mainly Japanese? This may be a borrowing from Japanese, this "temas laboron" form, because in Europe, I've not heard it even once, and certainly not to start off a sentence. My searches in the Tekstaro revealed that "temas" was universally used with "pri", when followed by a noun. I found one work from 1920-1929 using "temas" with a verb and no "pri" ("Temas propagandi..." etc). This one work was the only place where I found it with a verb, that idea doesn't seem to have caught on.

So I wouldn't use "temas laboron" to start off a sentence. I might use it to end a sentence, say a lot of stuff and then "temas pri laboro". I personally use "Teme pri laboro..." to indicate that I'm changing the subject, or else "aliteme...". "Kiam temas pri laboro" would be another alternative.

I don't think presita bazita Grafika Desengado is correct. Shouldn't it be desegnisto?
