I have been speaking Esperanto for 3.5 years now, and a few days ago I read about something on Reddit called the Total Language challenge. The idea is everyone gets organised into teams depending on which language they wish to learn and tries to learn together as much as possible in 2013. The team at the end of the year that has progressed the most, wins! I decided to create an Esperanto Team. Check it out here: Team Esperanto

You should post this to the study groups thread as well, and maybe something to the Esperanto forums, for people who don't read the English forum regularly. You can perhaps reach a wider audience that way.

The study groups forum would be a great place to organize some kind of 'learning competition' or group-based learning, for those who want to do it.
