Karlo can be found easily on the Internet, but I haven't been able to find the Frank format bi-lingual files.
Is there an archive area in lernu where I can find them?

austin_b:Saluton.I am slugging through Pro Kio. It's slow going for a brand new beginnger, but I'm getting a "feel" for the langauge. It's also relatively inexpensive.
I'm looking for free (or cheap) books as a beginner in Esperanto. I know this site has a list, but I was wondering if any of you could recommend others.
Dankon!
A free source of literature is the Esperanto version of the Bible available on the Your Version app. I'm not trying to push religion on anyone, just flagging it as a free and easily available source that I found.

austin_b:Saluton.FWIW, I have created a number of original articles, in Esperanto, on various topics, and have put them online, made them downloadable, and put them all in the public domain. The address is: http://www.public-domain-materials.com/dosierujo-a...

I was in the same situation as I'm also a beginner. I recommend you to visit this website: http://i-espero.info/elsutaro/esperantaj-libroj
There you will find a huge list of free books to download, from translations of the wizard of oz series, to some of the books recommended here in lernu!.
You can try also to check Facila Vento: http://facila.org/ which has some texts written in an easy Esperanto aimed at komencantoj or beginners.
Hope that this would help you, ĝis!
