Some ideas proposed in this post titled On Esperanto for the EU online public sphere seem like it might be good for those in the EU.

There's not much initiative going on regarding Esperanto and the EU, I'm afraid.
According to this article, there was talk of filing a European Citizens Initiative to have the EU anthem sung in Esperanto, but it never made it to the EU official list. More information can be found at Europo.eu.
According to that last site (which seems quite interesting), the European Commission did donate 400000 € to E@I to rejuvenate [url=www.lingvo.info]lingvo.info[/url], but that seems to be about it.
It would be interesting if there were an MEP who would put out messages in esperanto on their website to raise awareness. Maybe one of the East-European ones, where it has always been more popular?
