Hey, gang! I am now teaching two classes in Fort Lauderdale during which my students have to study some Esperanto. Post a hello to them! Let's get them involved in the English-language forum! They are a cool group (un grupo mojoso) and they see Esperanto through fresh, unbiased eyes. Robb I would like to know what they think of our language here on line!
They have all been assigned work on lernu.net and in order to do it must register. I hope that we can wake up some of them and get them involved in international life!!!!!

Well, I, for one, welcome any and all newcomers to Lernu!

I hope your stay here is a pleasant one.

I teach future teachers how to teach children math, science, geography, art, etc even if they don't speak English. I give my students several sample lessons on the above mention subjects but I use Esperanto instead of English.

"Hej, eksamideanoj! Bonvenon al la Esperantaro!"

(This is pretty untranslatable, so it will stand as an exception to the English-only rule. Besides, it's a quote.)

Hope your studies prove fruitful and fun!

I teach future teachers how to teach students who don't speak or understand English very well (I am in the USA). I use Esperanto to demonstrate how to do this by teaching different subject area classes in Esperanto using the strategies necessary to make undetstanding the material possible, even if the students don't speak or undersand Esperanto very well. The students can then apply these strategies to their teaching in English.
