There is a petition to European responsibles to adopt the Esperanto as an official language of the EU.
This is the text:
"We, citizens of Europe and of the world, call upon you to make Esperanto the 24th language of the European Union, for a Europe that is more democratic and more just with respect to every language and culture on the continent. Choosing Esperanto is another step in the construction of Europe. There is a lack of debate at the European level. Europe must not be only an economic entity; it must be a Europe of the peoples".
