So what does one do in Esperantujo with source conflict?
Requires a long answer.

But one thing you can do is look at how the word is used in those languages from which it has been borrowed.

My guess would be that klozeto came into Esperanto from W.C. at one time an internationally recognised designation for a toilet (on trains, in bars, etc)

jchthys:Does anyone have access to Wells' dictionary at this point?
I have the older version, but here's its entry.

toilet necesejo; tualet-o, -a, -ejo
The new Wells (p. 431) has toilet necesejo; tualet-o, -a, -ejo
Fulcher and Long (p. 281) has toilet n. and adj., tualeto, -a

tualeto only means "toilet" in the sense of preparing yourself for the day, like the sense of "toilet water" (obviously it is not water from a toilet, but perfume). It would have to undertake a change in meaning to mean the thing that you sit on in the bathroom.
