I have a strange problem with Tajpi (Esperanto Unicode keyboard handler). I am using Windows 8 and Total Commander 64 to launch apps. When I launch a program directly in Windows 8 everything is OK - I get the esperanto letters as expected. But when I launch the same program in Total Commander Tajpi does not seem to work with it at all - instead of esperanto letters I get ASCII characters c x s x ... Earlier, when I was using Windows XP, nothing like this ever happened. Does anyone of you have any of such experience? And perhaps there is some workaround... If so, I would really appreciate if you let me know.

Thanks a lot.

With regards

Alexander

What program are you launching from Total Commander? I just launched notepad from it and Tajpi seemed to work ok.

Just any Unicode aware one. Even Notepad does not work with Tajpi when launched from TC. When launched from Win8 or from a shortcut, everything is OK. It looks like TC is the problem here - it must mess up with the system or something. Of course, I could stop using it, but I am used to it and it works fine for me with other apps which do not use Esperanto keyboard.

Info:
System: Windows 8 Home Edition 64 bit
CPU: Intel i3-3225 3,30 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
TC: Total Commander (x64) 8.01 - I tried to use earlier version, but it had problems with the system, mainly it locked up when deleting files or folders, so I have switched to 8.01.

Anyway, thanks for your interest.

Have you any problem with that? I hoped to address the author of Tajpi, who is English, and I have succeeded.

Ok I'll take a more detailed look into it. My guess it TC is doing something to screw up the keyboard hook. Will let you know if I find anything.
