Kunmetaĵo is a very well known word among Esperanto students, as putting them together is something Esperantists do regularly. You should not be surprised to see the term used on this forum; it makes a regular appearance.
We are NOT allowed to express ourselves any way we see fit. The administrators delete messages that are sufficiently (according to their taste) in the wrong language. And I told a scientific fact about black people, and my message got deleted.

As for the topic, figuring out the components of compound words can be challenging for us beginners, but at the same time I find it fascinating, like solving a puzzle.
