michaleo:Dużo (multe) isn't an adverb. Similar to kilka (kelke), it's an indeterminate numeral.
Proszę pana -- dużo and kilka may be "similar" in meaning, but they are definitely not the same grammatically. Dużo is used with mass nouns or uncountable quantities, whereas kilka always has to be followed by a countable quantity.

Mam dużo pieniędzy (czasu, pracy) - I have a lot money (time, work)
Mam kilka dolarów (pytań, książek) - I have a few dollars (questions, books)

Unless Polish has changed recently, I don't think you can say "mam dużo dolarów" or "mam kilka pieniędzy"*

Amike,

Paul

*Actually, you can say something like "ma kilka pieniędzy w kieszeni" (he has a few coins in his pocket) or "inwestować kilka pieniędzy" (to invest a few coins) but in this case you're really saying "a few coins" to metaphorically refer to money. But in all these cases kilka is followed by a countable quantity. As a final example:

Mam dużo pracy - I have a lot of work (lots of things to do)
Mam kilka prac - I have a few works (of art, e.g.)

They are more similar grammatically because of the same function than in the meaning. You can read an article about the classification of Polish numerals. Both words are listed under the category nieokreślone (indeterminate).

The concept of countability is foreign for Polish.

All examples are correct. The sentence "Mam dużo dolarów" is also correct and it doesn't seem to be any change in the language.

The sentence "Mam kilka prac" would probably mean I have a few jobs but your interpretation is also possible.

Thanks -- I guess the problem is that I've never met anyone who had "dużo dolarów" before ridulo.gif

Amike,
