Saluton

Just wonder why the lernu mobile phone cannot be used in other brand besides Nokia. My friends have such user-unfriendly problem. ridulo.gif

Will the new lernu site possible to host a user friendly dictionary for free download. It is very useful though not all languages are fully translated.

Once again, thanks lernu for the wonderful work.

You should look up "Esperanto en la telefono!". It shows how to use several good apps, including one "DictionaryForMID" that allows you to download and use the Lernu dictionary. I use this one almost exclusively, and it can be used for other languages as well.

-Edit-
I assume that you are talking about an Android phone, otherwise disregard.

Thank you for the link to that. Very interesting. I see that they have made it possible to download all the Lernu dictionaries, so that they can be used without an internet connection. (See this page: Dictionaries for Download). The only down point is that they use versions dating from 2010, so any more recent changes to the Lernu dictionaries won't be in there.

I see that Hokan Lundberg was involved in this project. He used to be in the Lernu-teamo. I'm glad to find out that the Lernu-vortaro is freely available like this and that it is possible. I hope the current Lernu-team will make such downloads available more openly via the Lernu site itself.

The ESPDIC Esperanto-English dictionary is freely downloadable. I'm hoping someone will produce a mobile app that allows it to be used offline (hint, hint).

Amike,
Paul

I did do a Web App which works on most mobile phones and desktop browsers. It's a start of a mobile solution and works for now.

It also incorporates ESPDIC. Thanks, Paul.
