How do you say "this" in Esperanto?
All I see is "tio" and "cxi tio".

I'm just starting to learn esperanto so I'm not 100% sure. But I think "tio" = that and "cxi tio" = this.

Have you tried typing 'this' into the Lernu dictionary? There's an explanation there.

It depends if you are talking about a thing (then it's tio) or one piece of a concrete selection (then it's tiu). For example:

This is a cake ~ Tio ĉi estas kuko
This one looks great ~ Tiu ĉi aspektas bonege

I'm a beginner but I think "ĉi" can also be used for some adverbs:
"ĉi-semajne" = this week
"ĉi-loke"?? = in this location??
