Video games vs Esperanto

I am not a fan of the video games, thus, cannot be able to feel it.

If you think it is the best way, perhaps, give the writer a support and reason.

I think this is a FANTASTIC idea! Imagine if Mass Effect or Grand Theft Auto were in Esperanto? Thousands (if not millions) of gamers would learn EO just to understand the games on a deeper level. This would suddenly make EO cool to the youngest generations.

There are some people working to translate existing games to Esperanto. One of my friends is working on Spore and Final Fantasy 7 translations, and there exist Esperanto language available in Minecraft and Maniac Mansion Deluxe.

Not a lot, but it's a start. While we probably can't get official companies to translate their games into Esperanto, I would encourage anyone interested in contributing in this way to learn to mod, volunteer to help a modder, or help a developer with the translations for their original games. (The future games I make will have Esperanto language and English language available to select)

We have an opportunity to translate a RTS game in Esperanto. The game is called 0 A.D., and here is the localization

I tried that one a year or so ago and my 5 1/2 year old laptop had some heart palpitations so I had to stop okulumo.gif

I've always wanted to contribute to open source, but never had the time. Games are also an interesting deviation from my area of expertise in programming.
