Any good resources for kids learning Esperanto? I am enjoying this site and Livemocha, but I'm thinking more ideas of games or fun, kid based ways to learn a language.

Any comic books in Esperanto? He's a fan of Garfield, is it too much to hope there's been one of the Garfield books translated into Esperanto?

I have links of different types of Esperanto media here on Esperanimeo - comics, software/video games, podcasts, videos, etc. And then on the site we have four authors who work on different things, like:
  • Portal 2 Let's Play (La Lunuloj)
  • Digimon Season 2 fan sub (sencerbulo)
  • Disney songs translated & sung in Esperanto (miauaslano)
  • Kuragxa Knabino cartoon (myself)

There's no Garfield in Esperanto. Mainstream American comics are basically nonexistent in Esperanto because the authors are less likely to give the rights for a legal translation.

As for translated comics, you have Asterix and Tin-tin, both from Europe. And some Italian comics. I like Rat-Man but depending on your son's age it may be too complicated.
