There is a petition on Avaaz.org to use Esperanto as the official language of the EU. Google search "Esperanto Avaaz" if you'd like to sign it (just your email is needed). It's been around for a bit already, and more than half way done!

Almost more than 6 months and we cannot get 10 thousands people to sign it ? Anyone do a survey or analysis ?

I don't know. Obviously the biggest obstacle is that not many people know about the language.

Or, more probably, few people, even active users of Esperanto, know about the website. I recall somehow learning of it, but I no longer recall how it was, and I no longer recall the URL for the petition. (As a non-European I did not consider signing.) So I think it is probably a matter of not even knowing about the petition rather than lack of interest or advocacy.
