I've been looking around but can't seem to find PMEG in English.
I'm at the point where having a detailed grammar resource would be great but I'm not advanced enough for it to be completely in Esperanto!
Does it exist in an English version? And, if not, is there an Esperanto grammar resource in English that would be good to work from?

PMEG isn't in English but lernu's detailed grammar is in the process of being translated.
A good English-language reference is Jordan's "Being colloquial in Esperanto", which is available for free online here, and also in a book printed form.
