What is the best E-o word for "a job," a situation where one person is employed by a company, as in "I need to find a job quickly" or "my new job is more interesting than my previous job."

How would you say "I'm going to work," meaning I'm en route to my place of employment?

Also handy would be words for employee, employer, and unemployment rate (the percentage of people who cannot find jobs at the moment).

I have looked in a few dictionaries but I am not getting a clear idea of the difference between dung' ofic' labor'
