La frazparto "she could leave her head and walk" ne estas komprenebla al mi. Mi jam legis ĝin kelkfoje. Ĝi ne permesas ke mi ĝin komprenu. Ĉu vi povas helpi?

Saluton amiko! Tiu frazo ja estas stranga, kaj mi havas tri ideojn pri ĝia signifo. (1) La animo de la virino apartis de sia korpo, kaj movis sur la plafono. Sed kial li uzis la vorton "walk"? (2) La virino mem promenis sur la plafono, lasinte sian menson "sur la planko". Sed ĉi tio ne estas norma uzo de la vorto "head". (3) La virino kredis ke sia kapo apartis de sia korpo kaj ke ŝi promenis sur la plafono sen ĝi. Sed mi opinias ke en ĉi tiu kazo, la verkisto estus espriminta sin malsame, ekz. "leave her head off".

Oni povas supozi ke la frazo estas iomete poema, do eble la vera signifo ne gravas multe...
