Where can I find someone to Skype with in Esperanto? Also, where is a good chat room for beginners? I've been checking out the Freenode IRC, but I haven't started chatting there yet.

There exists Lernu-thread Kiu havas Skype? Maybe retbabilejo.net could find your interest, too.

Thanks for pointing out that thread.
If anyone wants to help a beginner, let me know. I'm brent_21 on Skype. And memnoch21@hotmail.com

If you want text chat, don't forget the "tujmesaĝilo" right here at lernu. You can find it in the right column of the page, just scroll down. There isn't always someone there but at least you can check. It is normally mostly beginners.

I run the Praktiku Esperanton group on Google+, where we have monthly or twice-a-month Google+ Hangouts for practicing Esperanto. Most of us are pretty bad at speaking Esperanto, so we're all trying to practice. ridulo.gif

Usually ##Esperanto on irc.freenode.net seems to be the most active Esperanto chatroom I know of. If you're not familiar with IRC and don't want to download an IRC client and all of that (You can run IRC through Pidgin or Trillian if you use those), you can connect to it on the Esperanimeo site to check it out.
