Paullen:I am a new lernanto as well. I would like to ask this study group a question:ReVo describes it this way:
I am running into two words for walk: marŝi and promeni
Which should I use? Are they used exactly the same? or perhaps they have slightly different meanings. In that case in what kind of sentences is one better than the other?
Mi estas promeni por la tabla.
Mi estas marŝi por la tabla.
promeni = walking from location to location due to pleasure or health reasons.
marŝi = walking in manner of synchronous footstep (military).

I was trying to say:
It is cooler temperature than we have had. I am happy, it was too hot for me. How is the temperature for you?
I am a beginner student at Duolingo

I believe it should be: Estas pli malvarmeta temperaturo ol ni havis. Mi estas feliĉa, estis tro varma por mi. Kiel estas la temperaturo por vi.Mi estas komencanto en Duolingo!
For the most part, you had a lot of it correct! But you did miss a few words. Ĝi is for it, like for an object or if you don't know the gender of something. "Estas" is used for It is(It's)and There is(There's). Whenever you use "ol", I think you need to use pli too. Pli is used like the -er for adjectives, so if you want to say "cooler than..." you would say pli varmeta ol... And je in normally used for time as in " at 10 in the morning" - Je la deka en la manteno". I hope that helps and that you understand

La temperaturo estas pli malvarmeta ol ĉe ni. Mi feliĉas (or: mi estas feliĉa), ĉar estis tro varme (or: ĝi estis tro varma) por mi. Kiel estas la temperaturo por vi?
Mi estas komencanto en Lernu!
